Aifric MacAodha
Rugadh Aifric Mac Aodha sa bhliain 1979. Bhain sí céim amach sa Nua-Ghaeilge agus sa tSean-Ghaeilge sa bhliain 2001 agus bronnadh scoláireacht de chuid an IRCHSS uirthi. D’fhoilsigh An Sagart a ceád chnuasach filíochta, Gabháil Syrinx sa bhliain 2010. Foilsíodh dánta dá cuid ar Poetry Ireland, Innti, Bliainiris, Cyphers agus The Irish Times. Aistríodh a cuid filíochta go teangacha éagsúla – an Fhraincis, An Rúisis, An Spáinnis, An Iodáilis agus an tSeicis ina measc. Thug sí tamall ina heagarthóir ar Comhar agus ina heagarthóir filíochta ar The Stinging Fly. Tá sí anois ag obair ina heagarthóir cúnta leis an nGúm agus ina léachtóir páirtaimseartha in Ollscoil na hÉireann, Baile Átha Cliath. Bronnadh sparántacht de chuid na Comhairle Ealaíon uirthi le déanaí.
Aifric Mac Aodha was born in 1979. In 2001 she graduated with a degree in Modern Irish and Old Irish from University College Dublin and was awarded an IRCHSS scholarship. Her first collection, Gabháil Syrinx was published in 2010. Her poetry has been published in Poetry Ireland, Innti, Bliainiris, Cyphers and The Irish Times. Her work has been translated to various languages, including French, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Czech. She is currently working as an assistant editor with An Gúm and as a part-time lecturer in University College Dublin. She was recently awarded an Arts Council Bursary.
